Aug 18, 2012 - Aug 19, 2012 10 am–4 pm All aboard for a trip back in time to Stonefield and an era when trains provided the main source of transportation for both people and goods. The day will feature activities and displays related to railroading. Visit the Stonefield depot, hop up into the Stonefield caboose, view model railroading trains and stop by the "End of the Line" hobo camp, where samples of mulligan stew will be available.
Sep 29, 2012 10 am–4 pm Step back to a time, before steam engines or tractors arrived on the farm, when horses did all work. Farmers used horses to plow the fields in the spring, harvest the crop in the fall, haul goods to town and transport people. Horse-Drawn Days will help you relive this way of life through a variety of activities throughout the day. Popular and prolific Wisconsin Historical Society Press author Jerry Apps will discuss and sign copies of his newest book, Horse-Drawn Days: A Century of Farming with Horses.
