CANCELLED – Spring Clean Up Day

April 23 | 9 AM – 4 PM

Join us before we open for the season to help spruce up the Stonefield grounds. Raking, picking up sticks, sweeping walks, and cleaning up the flower beds among other items on are on our “to do” list for the day!

We rely on generous volunteers to help prepare for the 2020 season.

Agriculture Appreciation Day

June 6 | 10 AM – 4 PM

Kick-off June Dairy Month by celebrating with us at Agriculture Appreciation Day! Cook on a woodstove in a 1901 progressive farmhouse, tour the State Agricultural Museum to see North America’s oldest tractor, walk through the home of our first governor Nelson Dewey, and sample Wisconsin dairy products. Take in an antique tractor pull, go on a wagon ride, make butter, play at a corn table, climb into a modern farm implement, eat ice cream, and more!

Autumn Harvest Fest

Sept. 26 | 10 AM – 4 PM

Celebrate the beginning of autumn with an antique tractor pull, wagon rides, sorghum making, broom making, hands-on activities, and much more! Admission includes demonstration cooking on the farmhouse wood stove, guided tours of the State Agriculture Museum & Dewey House.

Safe & Spooky Halloween

Oct. 17 | 3 PM – 8 PM

Trick-or-Treat through the child-friendly “haunted” Stonefield Village. For the younger crowd, “Light Fright” is from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the ghouls are out and all bets are off! This family friendly event is put on by the Friends of Stonefield and Nelson Dewey State Park. All proceeds from the event support both entities.
